21. Airborne Operation Photos - Sicily Drop Zone Assembly Area, Fort Bragg, NC - June 14, 1984

Somebody had brought soda to share with the troops after the jump. This was an unheard of treat that was welcome on a hot day.

Carlos Urrutia (short Hispanic guy from Illinois with no helmet on) looks like he's caught in the crush of thirsty soldiers. He did get out without being trampled by the others. Some of the guys still have the white tape on their helmets, which says what stick they were in. On this jump I was the #19 guy in our stick and our stick went out the Right Door of the Aircraft. I never did get the highly coveted Door Position.
