12. Airborne Operation Photos - Green Ramp, Pope Air Force Base, NC - Inside the C-141 Starlifter Cargo jet aircraft - June 14, 1984

The bench-style seats in the plane were made from lightweight materials; aluminum tubing and the red nylon strapping. Sometimes your equipment, ammo pouch or canteen cap, got stuck in the openings of the nylon webbing. The inside of these planes were reconfigurable. If they wanted to load large pallets of air droppable supplies, or load trucks or jeeps into the aircraft the seats came right out.
